Bosch hosts charity ball for Class of 2010 scholars
Manila / April 2008 – Robert Bosch Inc., the Philippine flagship company of Robert Bosch GmbH (Germany), recently held its first-ever exclusive black-tie charity concert entitled “Madrigal meets Broadway” at the Captain’s Bar of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The grand event featured the world-renowned and award-winning Philippine Madrigal Singers in a rare pop and Broadway repertoire, as well as a special performance by Rachel Alejandro.

The guest of honor at the Bosch event was the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Christian Ludwig Weber-Lortsch.  Other guests present include distinguished luminaries Reiner Allgeier of DB Shenker, Eynollah Rahideh of Continental Temic, Judge Cesar Cruz, key officers of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and personalities from the local business community.

“Madrigal meets Broadway” was staged to share a message of hope for the education of Filipino children. The affair was a fundraiser for the benefit of the Bosch Class of 2010 Adopt-a-School Project, which provides educational support for underprivileged yet eligible scholars until they graduate in 2010. The project is Bosch’s effort to illustrate the same spirit of generosity and will of its founder, Robert Bosch.

“We at Bosch believe that children should be given every opportunity to maximize their talents and strengths for a bright, successful future,” said Managing Director Franz Roland Odenthal.

The affair coincides with the anniversary month of Bosch in the Philippines and is a tribute to the company’s customers and business partners with whom it continues to sustain a strong alliance.

The event is supported by EON Stakeholder Relations, CCJS Law Offices, IDS Logistics, IMI, Pilipinas Shell, DB Shenker and Winner Advertising.
